2x2 with and without legs
Patent Pending: The USPTO has assigned Provisional Application number 60/854,881 dated 10/27/2006 to this invention.
The 2 by 2 is perfect for the beach or the boat. Say you want to catch crabs at the beach all day but don’t want to bring the ice chest and all the ice necessary to keep the big ones alive until it’s time to go home. The 2 by 2 is perfect. It keeps the crabs in their natural environment without the aerator.
Or, say you’re at the beach to do some fishing with live bait or just catching bait for tomorrows fishing trip. Either way, you need to keep your bait alive. Before the BBB&CC, you had a choice of a home made contraption that held some fish but required an aerator or a small plastic bucket that would get pushed up on the beach by the surf. Naturally it would be on it’s side and all the water would drain out and the sun would bake the bait in no time. With some simple anchoring, the 2 by 2 will stay where you put it and the surf will simply wash through the netting. The bait gets plenty of water and at 18 inches deep, the bait doesn’t bake in the sun.
If you fish by yourself and just need some bait but want to keep them over night. The 2 by 2 is perfect for that as well. If you’ve ever tried to keep a dozen minnows or finger mullet in a plastic bait bucket over night, you know it doesn’t work. They just don’t get enough flow through the bucket and the bait die. To have flow, a bucket needs a “goes inta” and a “goes outa”. The holes in the back of the bucket are normally the goes inta and the holes in the cover are the goes outa. With a stiff current, the bucket tends to float with the cover out of the water which removes the “goes outa” therefore, there is no water flow. Once the flow stops, the bait die. But that doesn’t happen in the BBB&CC. The netting lets water flow through almost unimpeded. Close Window
