3x6 with and without legs

Patent Pending: The USPTO has assigned Provisional Application number 60/854,881 dated 10/27/2006 to this invention.

The 3 by 6 ft BBB&CC is for the serious fisherman that’s going out with a lot of fishing buddies and needs a whole lot of bait. This bucket is large. At 18 inches deep, it provides the fish the shade necessary to keep from cooking in the hot summer sun. Since it’s made with UV resistant netting, it won’t fall apart under that sun. Another prime use for this size is to keep a big bunch of crabs fresh before their cooked. Frozen and near dead crabs are just not as fresh tasting as the ones straight from the water.

Since it comes with or with out legs, you can choose whether you want the storability of a collapsible BBB&CC or the added strength provided by the legs. The collapsible aspect is particularly attractive in instances like the boat where the storage room is minimal. The added strength is important in cross currents. If you live on the water and you want to store you crabs or bait fish but your dock has a stiff cross current, you need a bait bucket that will stay submerged in the water instead of being lifted out by the line it’s attached to. That is what happens to a normal small plastic bait bucket when it’s attached to a dock with any kind of current. To have flow, a bucket needs a “goes inta” and a “goes outa”. The holes in the back of the bucket are normally the goes inta and the holes in the cover are the goes outa. With a stiff current, the bucket tends to float with the cover out of the water which removes the “goes outa” therefore, there is no water flow. Once the flow stops, the bait die. But that doesn’t happen in the BBB&CC. The netting lets water flow through almost unimpeded. Close Window
